Hollywood officially invaded DC for the 8th annual GI Film Festival (GIFF) held in Old Town, Alexandria. Known as “Sundance for the Troops,” the country’s select award-winning organization returned for its biggest year yet! HHA client, GIFF featured 56 film screenings as well as celebrity meet-and-greets, red carpet soirees, exclusive embassy and Capitol Hill events and major world premieres/screenings: Field of Lost Shoes (May 19), When the Game Stands Tall (May 22), The First Motion Picture Unit: When Hollywood Went to War (May 23) and Ft. Bliss (May 25).
“GIFF has now officially become a destination event for Hollywood celebrities who want to show their support for the troops and we could not be more grateful. When you bring Hollywood stars into the room with real military heroes and great movies, magic happens,” said GI Film Festival president Brandon Millett. “And this year we’ve taken our game to a whole new level in all areas so anyone who wants to attend the festival should get on board early because this is sure to be the hottest ticket in town this May.”
